About

Cooper's Craft & Kitchen

Renaissance Man Peter Cooper bridged the gap between wealthy industrialist and artful inventor, so it follows that Cooper’s Craft & Kitchen is catering to both the beer nerd and  the food snob.

Opened in Fall 2011, Cooper’s serves sophisticated standards (lobster macaroni and cheese or Scotch eggs, anyone?) and pairs them with the best of artisanal beer offerings. Our mission is to raise the stakes on beloved pub fare – when you dine at Cooper’s it’s not just a burger; it’s a handcrafted blend of meaty goodness from local butcher J. Baczynsky just down the avenue. It’s not’s just a pulled pork sandwich; it’s a marinated Berkshire pork belly masterpiece. One taste of our Irish bacon, from the infamous importer Butcher’s Block in Sunnyside, Queens, and you’ll think you’ve died and gone to hog heaven. And all of this married with the best of brews in NYC includingAlagash Curieux, Bear Republic Porter, Chelsea Blackhole Stout and Greenflash IPA.

Located in the heart of the East Village (and just blocks away from the college bearing Cooper’s name), Cooper’s Craft & Kitchen is the perfect spot for a beer and a bite, whether you’re dining with a friend or a crowd.

Stop by and peruse our staggering selection. Our 60-seat restaurant boasts 25 craft beers on tap and nearly double that in bottles, along with signature cocktails, house-infused liquors and seasonal suds. We’re open for lunch, dinner and late night munching. So pull up a chair and see what’s been missing in your mug. We’re available for groups, celebrations, parties, events or any occasion that calls for raising a glass and chowing down!
